Stupid question, maybe...

My female laid 2 eggs three weeks ago. I've been incubating them, but they are really dented and I don't think they are going to make it. I have the male and female separated. This is obviously her first clutch. My question is, will she keep laying eggs if they do not keep mating? I keep reading about clutches and stuff like that, but I'm not really sure how that works. Any information would be great. Thank you!

Yes, she will keep laying eggs, just depends on how many clutches she will lay, that varies by female and depends on many things, so make sure you have a lay box with moist peat moss or vermiculite in it at all times and check it daily for eggs. Time between clutches varies but is in the neighborhood of 25 to 35 days or so.

25 days? LUCKY YOU! Most of our females lay their clutches almost exactly 14 days apart! They're pretty good about hatching 56-63 days after that... I'd start looking for more eggs just in case they're anything like our girls!
