Is repti bark mixed with spangnum moss a good substrate?

i would definately say no, assuming you are referring to leo's.

I personally would not use it but I am very paranoid about keeping my Leos on particle substrates

I am not saying that it is wrong to use as there are many ways of keeping these animals but imo the bark/moss would be very hard to clean except with complete removal and replacement on a regular basis

Also-I wonder if it might hold too much humidity??

Hope this helps

A leo is a desert creature. The combo you're talking about is more like rainforest conditions. It'd be far too much humidity for leos.

The other issue not mentioned yet is hunting & ingesting bits & pieces during the take down. This could lead to impaction.

I don't know if a poll has been done here, but I'm betting the top 2 substrates for leos would be paper towels and slate. Easy clean up = healthier leos.

It is definitely a bad idea. Like most people said, it will hold to much humidity, leading to respiratory conditions. Also, since it is a particle substrate, there is a high chance of impaction. Along with that, it would be very hard to clean, like some one said above, and therefore bacteria and mold could grow, causing more issues.
