So I've had my baby leo for about 3 weeks now, and at first was having problems with him eating. Patience has paid off and he's now eating around 2-3 mealies a day. (I leave 3-5 in usually each day and he eats them as he pleases). I know this isn't a lot, but at least he's starting to get his appetite back! He's got a nice round belly and his tail looks like it's starting to get a little more fat in it.

He's so cute, I can't wait for him to get bigger! :)

He's also about to have his first shed in my care, woohoo! He's been walking around all funny and wriggling a bit, haha. I even caught him laying on his back trying to bite it off his belly. It's pretty cute. I've been making sure he's been spending some time in the humid hide, so I'm hoping it will go well!

Congrats, I'm glad to hear it's eating for you. I'll be going thru the same thing soon as I plan on getting a new Leo Sunday at the local show. I can't wait to wait and see how long it will be before it eats (yeah right)

will it eat crickets too or only mealies?? I'm gonna try to get mine to eat both, I hope it works lol..

I haven't tried crickets in at least a week or so, so I'm not sure. He doesn't really eat right away when I put the mealies in there, he just finds them whenever and eats them when I'm at work or sleeping. I might try some crickets soon though because he just shed, so hopefully he will be feeling a little better soon!

I can't find any shed on him that's stuck or anything, so I think it went pretty well, unless it's possible for part of him to shed at first, and part later. Before I went to bed last night I only saw that his body was getting pale, so I'm not sure if his head shed or not--lol. I didn't see any on his toes or in his ears.... but then again I'm not sure how obvious it is when shed is stuck.
