ok one nostril is fully black and the other has a small bit of black inside as you can see in the pictures

she was 50 grams when i got her 3 weeks ago, then she was 51.1 and now today she is 48.4 grams.

she has only eaten 1 wax worm that i cut up and put the juices on her mouth.

her hot side is 92 and her cool side 78.4. she has no substrate so nothing she could of eaten, she has a bowl of mealies in her cage at all times (she was only fed on mealies previsouly)

she has a bowl of pure calcium and a milk cap of water available. she has a humid hide and a hide on the hot side and a hide on the cool side. she is about 8 months old now and not ovulating.

anyway, she may just be settling in still as she is an adult and they tale longer to settle in which may be why she isnt eating but whats up with her nose??

i didnt check her that closely when i got her but it may of been there but i cant be sure. i vaguely remember it being there but i could be wrong.

do you think she was born with this or has some kind of infection?

she is active and allert and still plump looking. she is housed alone.

what do you think is up with her nose? what should i do if anything?

thanks in advance for any help!!

Most likely it is a congenital defect. If she weighs 48 grams, then it obviously hasn't affected her ability to breathe all this time. I would guess that she is still stressed from being in a new environment which could explain her unwillingness to eat right now. All the conditions you listed sound fine!

I'd just give her a little more time...

what does congenital mean? birth defect? should i take her to the vet or wait a few weeks? is there anything i can do to help her, maybe get some baby food that she can lick off her nose to give her something to eat?

Yes. Congenital means it is a non-genetic birth defect. Like I said, just give her a little more time to adjust. Force-feeding and disturbing her too much will just add to her stress.

hi, i thought you might liek to know that the problem with my leo is a vitamin A deficiency so the guy i got her off cant of been giving her vitamins.

basically vitamin A creates the mucous, lung and something else cells and because she is lacking in this she has lots of dead cells built up. iv got a high potency vitamin supplement to give to her ever 3 days for 3 weeks and if she doesnt snort out teh blockage herself in that time then she needs to go under anaesthetic and have surgery to remove it. if its really bad it could of gone int her lungs. basically everything happens really slow in reptiles so she has had this problem for a while the vet said.

she also has 2 types of parasites, hook worm and somethig else begging with p, he said to leave the one begining in p as they dont tend to cause much problem and the gut is like a rainforest so you dont want to kill everything. he may treat the other worm in 3 weeks time if she still isnt eating.

poor thing, i emailed the guy i got her off to ask for reimbursement for the vet fees since i bought her in good faith that she was healthy but he hasnt replied. i think i deserve at least that since i paid £200 for her and it might cost me that much eventually to sort out this problem if she needs surgery :( too gal
