Super Snow x Tangelo?

I am thinking about getting a female tangelo originally from leopard gecko paradise and I was thinking about pairing her with my super snow. Would she make a good creamsicle project or should I just stick with the tang that I have?

Thanks

A creamsicle is a SHTCT Mack Snow. So you would need a SHTCT. If you plan to line breed then the original Tangerine is the best.

it was my understanding that a tangelo is a line bred SHTCT tremper albino. It is essencially a line bred sunglow/hybino; which on first generation would give me mack snow hypo het tremp, aka creamsicle het albino. Please correct me if I got anything wrong.

The tangelo is a much darker orange than my tang who is more yellow. I was thinking that the brighter orange would be beneficially to a creamsicle project. But I don't know how the albino part effects things.

to my understanding creamsicle take a few generations to produce for example by breeding the hypo mack snow back to a shtct and half the babies will be creamsicle

that's why I was asking about the tremper part. Will having mack snow hypos het tremper negatively effect the project? What does a tremper albino mack snow hypo look like?

Many sunglow/hybino/SHTCT have Ray Hine line of hypo in it aka dominant hypo, and I don't believe Tangelos have that that line in it. It is a line bred hypo but not by that pathway. So i'm not sure how it would mix with a mack but it sounds interesting! :)

No they won't but it would take you 1 more generation

Thanks for all the input. after some more reading i realized that the albino would make my creamsicle project into a snowglow project. I haven't decided if i'm going to go this rout or breed her to my tremper patty. But i'm def. getting her this evening. I'll post some pictures later. :)

I am doing a similar project involving a Normal het Albino and Mack snow Albino het RAPTOR. Also a SHTCT. I plan for some Sunglow's, Snow Glows, and Creamsicles.

Tangelo are a Tremper line of Talbino normal tangerines.

To make Super hypo snow tangerine SPLIT Super snow-AKA-(Creamsicles).You need Hypo trait + Snow trait + Tangerine + A bit of selective breeding. So to start you need a Super hypo tangerine to breed to a snow type.To get your starting stock. Then pick the best out the offspring to breed from again.

[1C]Super hypo tangerine X Super snow = .

Snow SPLIT Super snow.
[1C]Hypo snow SPLIT Super snow.

A percent of offspring will likely be influanced by tangerine.
A percent of hypo offspring will likely mature into Super hypo.
---------
[2C]Super hypo tangerine X Super snow = .

[1C]Hypo snow SPLIT Super snow.

A percent of offspring will likely be influanced by tangerine.
A percent of hypo offspring will likely mature into Super hypo.
=======
A Tangelo and Super snow breeding would be.

Talbino normal tangerine X Super snow = .

Snow HET Talbino/SPLIT Super snow.

A percent of offspring will likely be influanced by tangerine.

The really cool thing about the Tangelo line is that it is totally separate from the Ray Hine dominant hypo. The Ray Hine (Sunglow/SHTCT) is used in Snowglows and Creamsicles. Therefore with the Tangelo you would be doing something a little different from Snowglows and Creamsicles.

It would be an interesting way to see if you can put tangerine into the Mack Snows. All your hatchlings would be Tangelo(tangerine) influenced Mack Snows het Albino. If you get a Mack Snow with any tang. Breed it back to the Tangelo mother and see what comes out!

Breeding it through the Tangelo twice would hopefully bring in the orange your looking for. And if you hit the 50% Mack Snow - 50% Albino odds right, you could get a Tangerine influenced Mack Snow or a Tang. Influenced Mack Snow Albino.

This project would take a while and its a bit of a long shot. The Mack Snow Gene tends to wash tangerine colors out. But you never know:main_thumbsup:

This is a crazy thought!!
A Mack Snow Tangelo (Albino) would be wild! :main_rolleyes:
