Superworms are a great staple. Silks are a bit tougher. They require more work since they need to eat specific chow and need to be cleaned constantly and can die from disease easily. If you can find a mulberry tree near you I would definitely get silks during the summer and supers or mealworms during the winter. Thats what I do atleast. Each person has their own method.
If you are in NY I have a local person that breeds silks. If not then Mulberry Farms sells them.
With supers I make sure there are 2 in the feed bowl at all times. Silks I hand feed one at a time. Usually just one a day or even every few days since they can get big and juicy.

So the small super worms are two a day too? How can I gut load supers. Are they safe?
