Super worms hardening up

I bought a 1000 lot of super worms last week.i noticed a bunch of super worm shells.They are very hard and shiny.i keep them @ 72 degrees in a mixture of ground up solid dry dog food, fibre cereal ,oats.Any idea why they are dying and hardening up this way ?? The hard shell is that because they are dead or are they shedding

Do have any source for them to get moisture in with them. They need to drink. Some fresh fruit or veggies works.

I have potatoe and carrot for moisture source.Anyone else??

They need to be kept warmer, 80-85 degrees.
