Over the last couple of months, I have noticed a change in some of my geckos. This is a change for the good, not in a bad way.

I feed my geckos Superworms, and I have come to realize what I think to be a super power that they posess. This is regarding Superworms and their affect on the color of leopard geckos. I think that a steady diet of Superworms may play an important part on the visual appearance of leos... I think they make geckos much brighter.

I have a few geckos that I purchased from a few different breeders that feed their geckos crickets, and when they came into my posession, they seemed to be alot duller than now. It seems that every gecko that I now own that was originally fed crickets, has brightened up atleast 4-fold since I have had them, and have switched them over to Supers.

Has anyone else found this to be true... or thought they may have realized the same thing? I'm curious to find if this finding holds any truth to it. I think I may do a test to find out... I think I may take 2 offspring (the closest looking clutchmates I can get), and feed one crickets for a couple months, and one only a diet of Supers for a couple months, and see what the results are... :main_huh:

Iceburg and romaine have almost no nutritional value to them other than being loaded with water. I was given this chart for my beardie and it translates well for leopard geckos as far as what foods are poor choices when fed directly or used to gutload with.

I hope this can be as helpful to you as it was for me :)
