Superworm or Mealworm?

I cant decide what to buy, it's either 4000 mealies and about 100-150 pheonix worm for 30$ shipped or 1000 Superworm and 10-14 hornworm shipped for 30-32$ shipped. Which do you think would be best? My mealies beetle will be dying off pretty soon but I'll have some mealies from the breeding to carryon but not sure if its enough, with the super I'll turn 200 of em into beetle to breed. Which would u guys choose?

Supers, they fatten up geckos and are very hardy if in the right bedding. Also the hornworms are very tasty for some geckos, though like pinkies its iffy about who would like them.

Yeah thats what im thinking but would super last longer or would mealies?

If they're big enough yes, All of my leo can eat super w/ no problem

Superworms will last longer... Two reasons... You don't have to feed as many and they won't pupate (most of the time) unless kept in a small dark place...

We've had 1000 supers and they've lasted for about 3 months now and were STILL not out, even though 5/6 of our geko's eat them like pigs.

wow really? all 8 of my reptile eats mealies like crazy and 4000 lasted for like 3 months w/ a bunch of death and what not. 2 of my adult leo slowed their eating to almost a halt and just sleep most the time now so I guess super should last me until the spring?

If you're not bothered by them-a Dubia or another type of tropical roach colony is also another option

They breed like crazy with a uth or just in a nice warm room

The tropical ones can't climb slippery sided containers/tanks and they usually die if you manage to drop one outside their container
I love supers too!!

Yeah I think im settling for super, as for roaches Im not sure. Im amazed at what can scare some peoples lol, I go hunt cobra before and not scare of them at all.... but yet here I am refusing to touch a roach lol =) I might get them one day when I get my own place though, love to give my reptile a variety of food.
