Supplementation

I have had someone criticize me for not addressing that supplementation needs to be adjusted based on a geckos need.

I cannot find any information on adjusting supplementation.

I provide a dish of calcium without D3 at all times.
I feed 3 times weekly - once dusted, once not dusted, once dusted.

My dust is 1:1 ratio of multivitamin and Calcium + D3.

Can i get input on what ratios you use?
When you adjust the ratios and why? (e.g a gecko with MBD - do you adjust the ratio to like .8 multivitamin to 1 calcium?)
Am i dusting to much?

Should i dust 1 out of 3 feedings? or every other feeding? (Adults)
How often do you dust for your babies?

Really interested to see some answers

i just got some orange cubes

it has food, water, vitamins(d3) and calcium all in one for crickets, so you dont have to dust them with calcium all the time:main_thumbsup:

This is how I.. and several other breeders I know.. supplement:

In the tub 24/7 is a dish of pure calcium. In another dish is worms and a multivitamin/calcium+d3 mix. When I was using herptivite and reptivite calcium+d3, the ratio in the worm dish was 1:1. Now I'm using the vionate/osteoform/reptisand mix in the worm dish, 4:1:<1. I have never had a problem with a leo "over suplementing." They know what their bodies need. What your doing sounds pretty good :)
