Heya! Just want to know, has anybody here ever tried supplementing their geckos diet with whey protein (Optimum Nutrition or Muscle Milk brands)? Like dusting the crickets/mealworms (or whatever feeder) with whey protein? Is it ok? Thanks!!!

Well-I doubt it would hurt, but what would be the point? Any reasonable insect diet will have more than enough protien in the first place, right?

it may not make a difference with whey i doubt it would hurt anything. the muscle milk however is a formula that was create to simulate breast milk so that could very well be nutritous. i use it for myself and mmmmm mmmm love it.

muscle milk is one of the worst protein supplements on the market. It's full of fat and sugar and marketed to sell to people who dont really know what they are buying.

To much proteins can damage the kidneys, liver and the imunesystem... Just make sure your animal gets a variable diet and the proteins won't be a problem.

I know this is a gecko forum not a supplement and vitamins forum, but i'm not sure this is correct. Not to be a *$#@head. The fat in the nutritional facts comes from incomplete calories so you basically burn them as soon as you start your workout. It's good stuff!!
