Well, I was beginning to think my leo was THE most boring pet ever... but apparently she was just settling in. It's been almost a week since we brought her home and she's slept almost constantly... even had to wake her up to feed her! Well last night she finally woke up on her own and she's been exploring her tank ever since! Now, instead of sleeping all day and night, she's just taking short naps and is up and about. Watching us, climbing through her water dish, climbing on some rocks, and going through her moist hide (which isn't so much a "hide" as it is a bowl of coconut fiber... still trying to figure something out).

Can't figure out which I enjoy more... watching that waddle or seeing her sleepy-eyed when she first wakes up!

We added an infrared heat lamp on top of the screen to her tank and now instead of sleeping inside her hide (exclusively), she's rotating-sleeping all sprawled out behind her hide or on a rock... so cute! Her temps are perfect and she seems very happy... and now we're even happier because we get to see her!

My first 2 were like that when I got them, hide all the time. Now my 2 girls (they're in a 55 gallon tank) they are all over it. I have drift wood arranged and they climb all over it. It's fun to watch them.

im glad shes more entertaining. my geckos' activity levels seem to wax and wane. sometimes they're all over the place, then i wont see them tromp around for a week (besides feeding). fyi one trick is to heat up their enclosure a few more degrees to get more active geckos.
