Switching Substrate

I've had both my leo's on a zilla sand since I've gotten both of them. Neither have shown any problems, because I don't typically get crickets for their meals. They pass everything regularly, and I don't see a current problem. But the more I read I'm becoming a nervous mommy and intend on switching. Today. I'm certain I'm going to go with tile, because I also finally got UTH to work properly. Won't the ceramic tile get too cold though, on the cold side of the tank? Would linoleum work ? (I just ask because it's be easier to cut to size.)

as long as the hot spot is 90-95F, there's no problem with the cool side being room temperature.
