So i plan on moving my leo from a ten gal to a twenty gal tank. i already have everything set up, proper temps and everything. my dumb question is how do i go about switching her into her new home? i'm afraid she might get stressed out. i was just wondering. thanks!

No matter what you do geckos will find the move from one tank to the other a little stressful.
Do try and make the new tank resemble the old one, the familiarity with objects and the location of these objects should help.

Just ease them in to there new tank and leave them be is the best advice i could give you.

Give the cold-blooded, nocturnal, predator some credit. :p

I would just pick up whatever hide she happens to be in, and set it in the new tank.

Cold blooded predictors or not they are small, and in the wild will run from a threat.

Things like this will cause stress but if you leave them alone for a while once in their new tank they will settle down pretty quickly.
Put it this way, how would you like to be ripped out of your home by a giant and thrown in to a new one where nothing is familiar? pretty scary ha lol

Just my 2c-

Darren.

I put her in her new tank last night. She was hiding in her moist hide, so i took her out, put her hide in the tank, and set her in her new home. i think she had fun exploring it and is happier that she's in a bigger space. :D

Glad your little one is enjoying her new home :main_thumbsup:

I switched my babies into a bigger viv today and they seem to be loving it :D Lots of new places to explore and climb on :) They dont seem stressed at all.

Sadly till after xmas Daisy is now in the smaller tank cos when she was in the bigger viv she spent most of her time just sat in the same hide and the 2 babies in the smaller one were getting kinda cramped :undecided: Even though she is fine with plenty of room i feel guilty, but she showed me what for by taking a huge dump in the corner :devilish:

I've recently moved my 4 month old male from a 10 gallon tub to 20gallon wooden vivarium and he tends to just spend all his time inside his hide. Even at night he rarely comes out. Its been about a month now and hes still always hiding and never comes to my hand he wasnt like this in the 10 gallon. Your lucky ur babys come out to explore
