My gecko male has his hemipenis stuck outside his body, it´s swollen and red. I carefully cleaned it today as he looked very uncomfortable, what am I supposed to do with it? He is living with a female all year around. He has a humid place and a hot rock that he likes, how can I help him? :main_huh:

He need to be taken to the vet. Heat rocks can cause burns and should not be used.

That link says to leave the Gecko soak overnight!! Ive heard the sugar water thing but leaving a Leo in water overnight??? That doesn't seem safe or smart? :main_huh:

I would think the person would know they do not mean in a dish, but I guess you never know sorry. I forget some people don't have common sense:)
I took it as having them lay on a soaked rag, but true they did not specify it that way.
I will delete it just incase.

Thanks for your input

Unfortunately I don´t have a qualified reptile vet anywhere near where I live but I´ll try to contact one over the phone tomorrow. I´ll keep him on toiletpaper from now on though. Can´t figure out why they sell hotrocks if it´s not fit for lizzards, my rock keeps +32C and I can´t have a hot mat (or whatever it´s called in english) as I have a metal aquarium and not a glass terrarium for my geckos.

Because pet stores sell hot rocks to ppl who havnt done their research into buying expensive supplies when they dont need it.
