This is Sydney one of our dogs. I was going through pictures on my computer and found some nice shots of her.

She has so many nick names. it went from sydney to sydy to sydy biddy. now she is our old biddy. she loves to complain.
We get people all the time saying what a cute puppy she is and what great puppy energy she has but she is 10 1/2 years old. I cant believe it time flies.

thank you guys... we were thinking about getting another aussie for our Farm/ranch when we get it. but an opportunity has arisen to get a working dog bred pup. One slightly ahead of schedule.

doesn't look like there's anything wrong with her eye to me.....just has pink pigment instead of black at the inside corner.....but I dunno...maybe I'm missing smt?...

One eye is white and the other is brown, is this normal for dogs?

its called pie-eyed. nothing is wrong. she just has two different colored eyes. it looks blue, not white. its something that happens occasionally with dogs that are bred for a specific look. this one looks to be a tri-colored merl aussie. its a recessive gene that pops up frequently in collie-type dogs and some other breeds.

Oh whoops...I was looking at the eye to the right in the photo...not her right eye......lol

Yeah, she just has a blue eye...not as common and brown eyes, but perfectly normal....like blue eyes in humans. Huskies are probably the best known breed for blue eyes. Bicolor eyes (one of one color and another of a different color) are relatively rare....through truly striking in my opinion.

Blue eyes in herding dogs were bred for in an attempt to produce a more "persuasive" stare when on the job.
