I am starting to worry about the color on my leo's tail. When she came to me her tail was white and tan striped. but the tan seems to be getting darker and darker, and I am really confused. She is on white tile with a warm spot of 93 or 94 and on the cool side it is room tempature. Does anyone have any suggestions on why her tail markings are getting darker? she is a Tremper Hybino.

Post an image if you can Greg. Stress can cause darkening (along with other enviromental issue), but I think it is mostlikely just growth changes.

Paul, my stinkin camera and computer are being stupid. So sadly I can't upload pictures of her. I don't really know what other enviromental stressors there are, I have ruled out all of them that I can think of.

Tremper Albinos can darken from lower ambient temperatures, and it is pretty much irreversible. Nothing to worry about, other than the darker color.

Not to hijack a thread but my leo shed for the first time (for me) and he looks more yellow than before. he had a lil speck of orange on the base of his tail, :main_robin: but no more. I just figured it was whats supposed to happen.
