Tail dropping question

Just how easy is it for a crestie to really drop their tail? I'm soooo worried. I handle my crestie with the most care and gentleness I possibly can. He is about 9 weeks old. When I get him out i'm worried he's going to get scared and drop his tail.

I had a juvenile drop its tail because I covered it with the palm of my hand to take a picture, never touched the gecko. You just never know whats going to cause them to lose them. ;)

Tryme There's nothing you can do to stop it from happening. Maybe if you never handled him again? But it's a normal process. The funny thing is pet stores will sell them with big discounts for not having a tail. Take good care of your guy & if he ever does lose the tail, then you'll need to worry for a bit while it heals up.

My one baby got out of a container, my girlfriend shut the lid on his tail, he dangled from it wiggling around and i was freaking out yelling, OPEN IT, OPEN IT, she did and he fell onto the bed. Never lost his tail, and still has it months later, i thought for sure he was going to drop it that day. Im not sure how easy it is but after watching that i dont worry so much.
