Tail waving when trying to breed?

I introduced my male to my female this afternoon, and when he saw the female, he didn't do the fast tail "rattling" that I expected him to. It was a slow waving movement, like he was defending his territory or somethin...

Also when the female, came and checked it out, he ran away. He's a very jumpy gecko, and gets freaked out when something touches him.

So, I guess my question is, should I leave him in the females tank? Should I be worried about the slow movement of his tail?

TIA =]

Mine does it very slow as well, right before he gets ready to mate. I think it will be ok but I would keep me eyes on them just to be sure for a while.

tail waving is normal , how big is he compared to her? leaving him in should be fine just watch for signs of one bullying the other any bright red marks, cuts ect.

She is 64g's, and he is 53g's, so there fairly close in size. I left them in for the night, and are still together, I've been watching and dont see any evidence of breeding nor bullying, so we'll see what happens. Any other input is appreciated :)

it's my experience when either the male or female slowly waves their tail that is a sign of attack mode or aggression.When I generally see that I seperate them immediately.If they are in together over night then they should be alright.
