tail waving??

so i was watching my leopard gecko explore his tank the other day and he started waving his tail slowly and high in the air for a while.. i've never seen him do that before and i was wondering what it could mean! anyone else ever have their leos do the same??

To my knowledge, the slow tail waving is usually a warning and basically means "back off". Not sure if he was addressing that to you or something else, is he in the tank alone?

yeah he is all alone.. and i was just sitting there still so that is kinda odd..

Leos will display this behavior when they feel threatened. It's best to leave them alone until they calm down.

that is so funny considering there was nothing he should have felt threatened by.. maybe his reflection?? haha

it very well could have been his reflection if he's in a glass tank.

my gecko does that sometimes... normally when she's climbing up the back of my chair. then she sits on my shoulder and pretends i'm just a warm seat.

ive seen mine do this after a tank cleaning

One of my girls did it when I shined a flashlight on her...as soon as I moved it she stopped. She is a weird one
