O.k., I have read through the forums (about 15 hours total lol) and have learned sooo much.
I have re-set up BOTH tanks.
In Feya's (Beardie) I now have a hide, vines, thermomter, new brown paper towel substrate, and changed it around to have more room for her to walk and bask as she chooses.
In Muschu's (Leop Gec) I have 2 hides (1 moist), brown paper towel substrate, better water dish (she loves it), calcium dish, thermometer, HOT ROCK IS GONE, put in an UTH.
First thing I noticed is that my gecko's tank reached a max heat of 81. Should I put an overhead heat lamp as well ? She is LOVING the moist hide (plastic keeper camoflauged), as it is right over the UTH....
Will post new pics.....PLEASE PLEASE look if you get a chance and let me know if I am getting this right !!
Thanks in advance

try useing foil under the uth to try and "rebound" some of the heat back up to the tank. It worked for me

Read your post and did it right away, in 25 minutes the heat is now up to 82 from 81. Will give it 24 hours and go from there. Thank you so much for your reply CSgecko .... I really appreciate your helping out a beginner. I sure didn't want them, but in 4 short weeks they are just as much my babies as my dogs !

if that doesnt work you might try and go with and overhead light but make sure it is infrared because i read somewhere that the bright light is stressful. That may not be true but with the infrared light you can also views your leos in the dark and not disturb them. If that gets to hot use a tabletop dimmer or a rheostat to lower the power allowed into the uth or the light.

The temp is only 81. Should I use a red/blue heat light then ? The tank is pictured in the PatsBrat album.
I REALLY appreciate all the help. Our local (and ONLY) Pet place has one person for all my questions....and oh my .... he was ADAMANT that I use coconut sponge husk things for the substrate and that heat rocks and heated dens are the "only was to go" ....sooo confused until I read for hours on this site ! Again, thank you thank you thank you
