Taming Charlie the Leo

We bought Charlie from the pet store about a month now. Pretty sure it's still young (less than a year old). It has gotten used to the tank and comes out when we approach the tank for feeding/cleaning tank, etc. We've tried to put our hands in the tank (gently and slowly) so it can start to get used to us, but it comes and strikes our fingers. Doesn't hurt really, but my 8 year old doesn't want it to bite her anymore. Any tips on how to get it to stop biting us so we can pick it up??

If you start handling she once a day it will most likely stop bitting then once it stops let your daughter handle.

Thanks! That's what I was thinking. I'll keep working on it. Should I try to pick it up? Or just get it to walk on my hand first?

Yea, just be carful the jump. Unless you just got it I would wait a week to let it settle in.

We've had it for about a month now. It seems pretty comfortable in its tank (eats well, poops regularly, comes out of hides often). And I think it shed at least once, maybe twice now.
