when i first got mine it was also veary agrresive and this is what i did it now loves to be handled 
...put your hand in the viv and allow him to walk onto your hand a few times eventually after he has got used to that try and pick him up if sucsessfull lie down and put him on your chest and let him walk around... after he doesent mind being handeld and so on, handle him for about 10 muinets a day every day - try do it at the same time every day so he gets used to it more hope this works ... worked for me
