The Tampa show was great. It was packed on Saturday but Sunday was pretty slow. We sold almost all the geckos we brought so we are not complaining. All in all it was a pretty good show.
We had a blast!!! We ended up selling most all of our animals. I think I sold 54 leos, 14 crested, 4 dragons, and one red tail boa. I was real pleased.
I got to meet some of Geckoforums members too. Phillip and Christine from GKO Reptiles are great! They have beautiful animals. I ended up getting a real nice pair of SHTCTB from them. I also met Bret from Bayside Geckos... Another great guy! I picked up a nice patternless albino from him. I look forward to getting more animals from them in the future.
I picked up a sweet vivarium I'm going to house a few crested geckos in. I also picked up two 20longs and a ton of accessories to make some leo vivariums for my personal display.
My son bought a breeding pair of millepede's... not my idea.
Sounds like it was a big success. I was thinking about driving up just to look around. I saw a couple of things on GKO's site that I was interested in.
Sunshine S.E. I don't think you were at the F.I.R.e show to give contrast but I saw GKO there. In comparison how was this show compared to the F.I.R.e show?
Oh ok. The Fire show was the first show I ever went to and then recently I went to another one in Orlando like last month. I think it was the Repticon. I bought a Blazing Blizzard from you guys.
I guess my next question would be how was the Repticon in comparison to the one that just happened then?
Repticon is a very small show compared to Tampa. There are not many vendors at all but I hear they do pretty well. Oh, and Larry from Sunshine State is a great guy and so is Bret. And just a message for Larry, Bret decided to send me a picture of that reverse stripe breeding just to rub it (right Bret!!) in that he got her.... LOL She was breeding to a male he got from me so I guess it all works out!! Everyone we met at the Tampa show were great.
