just thought id document and take some pics as i set up yet another home....

24in.wide 17 tall and 21 deep...yea fliped it on its side now the top is the front....i did this for 2 reasons easy to get into and also for taking pictures (hate trying to take pics through the glass) and it gave me 3 more in. of floor space

i cut some plexie glass for the front as i had some laying around for years ( times like this im glad im a packrat lol)

i made some clips out of servo arms as i had some of these laying around also....turned out nice and clean looking took me less than an hour.....

this is a pic while running the led's.....these came from the auto parts store less than 20 bucks i got these a couple years ago and never did anything with them..took me an hour or so to untangle them what a mess!! took me about another hour or so to run/place and hide the wires to keep it clean looking..

and this is where im at....was a productive day off work i think....im far from done and still lots to do and figure out before my leo's call it home...

sry for the crappy pics all i got is a cell phone for taking pics
anyhoo ill post more pictures as i take them :main_thumbsup:

no its not laminate flooring...i wouldnt suggest using that in a incloseure cause its basicly compressed sawdust and soon as moisture hits it it will flake apart and buckel...its actually super thick vinyl flooring...this stuff is rubber like a swimming pool liner..it can be easily removed and cleaned and moisture does not hurt it at all it also insulates very very well ...that being said this is not the old paper back vinyl this is kinda newer stuff they make now..works great in my tanks....just have to be mindfull with your heating so as not to melt it doing something crazy : )
its just cut to fit side to side and laid it in there and let it run up the back..its held in place with neo magnets so its super easy to just pop out and clean : )

I like the LED idea. I think If I ever go all out with making a tank, I will add some lights like that to give it a neat look and it could make night pictures look super cool
