I read somewhere that it is believed that temp. determined sex is only within the first 21 days, after which it is locked in...Any validity to this statement? Thanks.

In all the reptiles that are TSD, the temps only effect sex when the gonads are developing. In leopard geckos, they develop in the first 1/3 of incubation.
