Temp dips

Ok I think Im going to need a new UTH, but before I spend the $$$ I wanted to ask on here first.

My hide on the hot side averages 90-92 during the day. I have the heat lamp (red bulb) turn off at 20:00, and turn back on at 08:00. Sometime during the night, the temp drops to ~82, then is back up near 85 when I get up before the lamp turns on.

The question is, is this drop in temperature to much of a drop for too long?

Nevermind, I had a roll of heat reflecting tape. I put it on top of half the stand and raised my substrate temp ~ 6 degrees or so...

I think that temp drop was fine Ryan. It helps stimulate day and night temp drops.

I agree that a temp drop isn't necessarily a bad thing, I just thought that might be too low. At least now I can dial back my UTH a bit, I will probably set it around 86-88 UTH alone, with daytime lamp getting it up 90-92...
