temp flucuations?

Posted this in my other thread in breeding section..but thought I'd ask it here

I've always wondered wether the temp fluctuation that occurs when you open the incubator [to add moisture, to to put the other egg inside etc etc] would cause any deformities/damage?

It really depends how longi ts open for and how often you do it, you really shouldn't open it more then once a day, or else something could happen, just keep the opening minimal and it should be fine :)

I second that. If you need to open the incubator for any reason, it's probably best if you first make sure you have everything you need for whatever maintenance you are performing before you crack it open.

i keep an eye on the temp and i never let the temp decrease more than 0.5-1 degrees celsius before i close it
