temp question

ok some of you have seen my first setup, it has two levels on the hot side. the upper level is reading 91 degrees, and under that it is reading 87 degrees, and the cool side is reading 80 degrees. is this ok? the buld on the hot side is a 75 watt bulb. should i up it to a 100 watt bulb to get the temps higher or is the temps good? thanks

i dont know if you have one, but if not you might want to consider getting an under tank heater. that way it would help keep both layers about the same temp.

yes i do have a UTH. should i up the wattage of the bulb then?

I'd say if you put a towel over one end it should heat it up just that little bit 91F is just a LITTLE low if you put a 100W I think that would be too much.
