Temp question

I hear a lot about temperature fluctuations, but when I think about it would seem that a temperature drop/rise as long as it was not sudden would not harm the geckos. In the wild the temperature does not remain constant, I would think the eggs would be able to handle changes in temperature. Am I right in saying this?

In my opinion it depends form many factor such as: part of incubation in which the fluctuations exist, how big the fluctuations are and for how long do they exist.
I heard about many cases. One breeder said that his geckos didn't hatch after fuctuatnios, another said that I got deformed ones, a next said that nothing wrong have happened.
I think that crucial moment is the first part of incubation and in this part fluctuations are the most letal reason of geckos death.
