I live in Florida and I just got 2 baby cresteds. They are in a kritter keeper with paper towels as substrate. I am worried about the temp. It fluxuates depending on the time of day between 77-80. I have them in the coolest room in the house and I have a celing fan and a table fan blowing. I am just worried that it is getting to hot. Are these temps ok? What else can I do to cool them down? I mist at night. Can I mist throughout the day? I have fake plants and it seems like they dont hold any water. Should I change their plants? Would a different substrate be better? I cant change the AC Temp in the house (it is set at 79-80) since its not my house. Thanks!

Temps are good don't worry.. Just make sure and doesnt go over 85. U can gently mist during the day if the nightly mist dried out. Also make sure the fan doesnt blow too much wind into their enclosure.

Thanks! Yeah I had to adjust the fan. Now it is just blowing overtop of it. The temps now are holding out at 78 so I think a mist at night and a mist in the morning are going to help.

it is room temp. The temps are holding at a good 77-78 without the extra misting. I put a wet towel over part of the top and that seems to help. Thanks!

Thanks.. shes very pretty indeed ;) Can't wait to see her full grown. Make sure u don't block all the top.. it still need ventilation to dry. Wet all day isnt really better then dry all day.. U really need to mist, let it dry and remist. ;)
