what temperature do you keep your geckos my digital thermometer is telling me that the floor temp is around 30-33c it varys depending on if the window is open or something. i do have a thermostat and i set it to is 34c or 92f which is as high as it goes but it never seems to reach that temp when i use the thermostat. how important is a couple of degrees? i really want to get this right before i get my gecko thanks.

I had mine 88-92 and little guy/girl hung out in hot hide all time even when shedding.

Bumped up to 90-94 and it became much more active. some like it hot i guess...
I use slate tiles so it only reaches that hot temp at the center over the pad. The temp drops a couple degrees per inch away from the center portion.
Room temp is 68-72 (currently) and thats the cool side temp. Basically by the edge of the 12x12 tile its close to room temp maybe + 5 degrees... the next tile is room temp.

Now my gecko hangs out in the cold hide and humid hide when shedding other then that he stays on hot side.

Mine is 89-92 and I wil find my leo at any given area at any given time. She just seems to love everything. She FINALLY discovered the cool hide and is starting to use it more. But she seems to thermoregulate very well.
