That Christmas game...

Ok, not sure how this will go over....it could go well, or go over like a lead balloon depending on how many people want to do this.

Has anyone ever played the Christmas game where you put your name in a hat and a bunch of other people do it too? And then you draw a name, and whoevers name you draw, you get them a present for Christmas? Matt just told me it's called "Secret Santa". lol.

Well, I thought it would be cool if we can play that game with everyone on the forum. Like we could all submit our name on this thread. I'll write them all down and private message you all with the name I draw out of the hat for you. The down side is, that Matt and I will know who our secret santa is. Unless we can find a way to make it work where we couldn't find out. :main_huh:

We could have a price limit to the gifts like however much we agree on. It can be gecko related or it can be whatever you want it to be. Let's say $30 MAX for a gift. It doesn't even need to be that much money, but do try and put some thought into the gift you get for each other.


I think it would help us on the forum to get closer as friends and as a community. Just a thought....Let us know what you think and I will start writing the names down. :main_thumbsup:

I was thinking up to 20 or 30? Not sure...I guess it could be however much you really want to put into it....Anyone want to help me with a limit?

Also, when you get the name of the person you are sending your gift to, you can't tell them. The only way you should tell them is through the gift (a card or note). This should be fun! We need more people though so hopefully we can get there.

That's what I think but people should realize that if they spend $30 on a gift it doesn't mean your "Secret Santa" will spend $30. It's just the thought that counts.

If you sign up, you MUST do it because it's depressing when someone signs up for something like this and they don't recieve anything (believe me, it's happened to me once). This is all about having fun and being generous to each other.
Also, I would like to not see people giving the gift of something that will benefit them...ex: "You can have a gecko on my site for 40%(or whatever percent) off." I don't think there are many people if any on this site that would do that...but just in case.

Well, I have four people now....so we need some more! Get to giving everyone!

it might be smart to pair the european people up with other europeans for shipping reasons, not sure how much it costs to ship to europe from the states or vice versa... i'll probably take part as soon as i can figure out something to suggest for myself...
