...is killing me!

I'm getting all prepared for the arrival of my first eggs!

Just a little info.. The incubator is a hovabator (fan model, but I dismantled the fan so it is essentially the same as the thermal air). I'm using PLAIN perlite as an incubating medium, and the temperatures have become very stable at 83-84 degrees fahrenheit. Hoping to incubate for females.

The lucky gal, Daria, a Tremper Patternless was bred to my male Tremper Jungle twice, once on December 27th, and once aproximately 2 weeks ago. I tried putting him in with her again about three days ago and she rejected him.

Hasn't left her laybox the past few days and I think I see big eggs in her belly. :main_robin: She certainly is fat!

I'm right there with you! I posted pics of my girls belly yesterday asking for opinions as to when she would lay. For the past two days she looks just like I felt right before I delivered...big, miserable and tired. I want eggs but I want her to have a little relief too. You know....until the next ones. ;)

Have you actually taken the hide box out and look in it? My friend was waiting and waiting then took his out and moved around the substrate very lightly and poof! The eggs were in there the whole time! lol

I figure the best way to check is to look at Daria's belly. If I can still see the eggs, there's no way they're in the substrate!

This is why I love using clear tupperware containers for hides...you just slide it out, lift it up, and look at the bottom of the container :)
