The Color Change of Ruby Eyes

In my breeding colony I got 4 babies with all-red eyes while hatched.
They came from Het Raptors.

Problem here is, as they grow, 2 of them got gray covering on one eye.
I wonder this is genetic issue or an environment issue.
Any comment from you experts?

Hi, what do you mean by gray? Like this picture?

Some "Raptors" have what are called "snake eyes", and they are partially solid, and partially like the regular Tremper Albino`s eyes. Like the "Snake eye" below.

I am just guessing here, but the "gray covering" may just be the "normal" half of a "snake eye".

Exactly! They are born all-red but some just got partially normal as time goes by. I'm assuming this is genetic determined, but my friend believe this is related to environment since they are all-red at the beginning.

What possibly in an enviroment could cause eye color change? Snake eyes are a genetic trait. Some traits take time to show, much like beauty marks, heart disease and so on with humans.
