So I have someone in Bakersfield, CA that is really interested in one of the bp babies. I called to check on shipping cost and was quoted almost $65.

The snake doesn't even cost that much!

To those of you that ship reptiles, what do you do when the cost of shipping is more than the cost of animal?

Careful though. When that site does a quote for you, they show the normal UPS price, and the ShipYourReptiles price. It's layed out in a table with like 4 or 5 different different rates (i.e., Next Day Air, Two Day Air, etc.).

Are you sure you're looking at the ShipYourReptiles price? It normally comes out substantially less than the UPS rate. :main_yes:

Hmmm... Thanks for your input, folks. You've given me something to think about. I'm starting to see why alot of breeders deal with more the "higher end" animals, just so shipping isn't so overwhelming.
