The financial market is a money black-hole.

Geez, I lost so much money this week... The worst part is, I have no idea when this will end. Although the origin of the problem is not in Asia this time, but the Asia market is dropping more violantly than the Europe/US market...Its just so sad to watch my savings/investments slowly evaporate everyday and there is no more thing that I can do.

Few things I have learnt:
- Now I know I should've stop loss in bear market. Some of the stock I hold dropped 80-90%. No point to stop loss at this stage. :main_no:
- I shouldn't have bought high risk investment products from I-banks in favour for high interest rates.
- Cash is King!

I know how you feel. I saved out a little bit of cash a few months ago, so at least I can jump into the market with that cash after things hit bottom.

Yes. The company I am buying shares of has some things pitted against them, but I know their technology inside and out. The real problem with similar tech was consumer awkwardness. It performed well enough. Hopefully, their slant overcomes the awkwardness and will lead to success. Put simply, if I invest a couple thousand or so, I will not lose much- even in the face of the entire company going under (which I would consider unlikely). If the company's product succeeds the way it should have, I'll gain tens of thousands in a relatively short period. So, it's not a question of whether or not I would tolerate the loss of the initial investment. It's a question of whether I could tolerate myself if I did not invest and it did succeed.

Ok, this is no joking, I'm not even sure if its save to put money in bank now...Unlike USA, Hong Kong government will only backup HKD$100,000 (about USD$12,500) per account if bank goes bankrupt! Its really stressful moment, I believe the worst is not seen yet...:main_thumbsdown:
