I was taking my Leo out because is aw him drinking from his water and i saw a blue spot under the top of his belly by his two front legs... I scooped him out carefully and didnt startle him. I opened my cup hands and he stood there for about 30 seconds leaped from my hands and onto the floor... about 5 feet and he darts under my dresser ( very dusty ) I lifted up my dresser and my brother grabbed him and put him int he tank.

Do you think that leap caused any damage that would be fatal? Im still curious as to what this blue spot is as well I never noticed it before, just today

Hmmm I dont think so. I've had a leo do a swan dive off my shoulder, land on her back, flip over and take off like a rocket. Took her to the vet and she was just fine

When I had just gotten my second, I was walking downstairs to put her in her enclosure and before I got downstairs ( I had her out of the little animal box to show my dad) she took a leap of faith down the stairs, probably a good 10ft drop, she was good to go! Although, probably lucky.

Thank you im glad for the some re assurance... Im still worried about the blue spot on his upper chest... I read an information sheet and it said not to worry about the blue spot unless its affecting his feeding/drinking/ bathroom habits.. it said sometimes they do get bruised or get these marks and not to worry

We had one do a swan dive out of my husbands hands and hit our hard wood floor. She did this little twitchy thing. We rushed her to the vet ( 1.5 hours away and me bawling and my poor hubby feeling aweful). By the time we got there she acted fine. Dr. checked her over and said she didn't appear injured but we did a few xrays to be positive. She was fine and we were total wrecks.
