Instead of useing the upload feature in Dreamweaver (if it gives you problems), just upload useing a FTP software. I use FileZilla (after testing many programs for a series of months) and am very pleased with it. I haven't had a single corrupt file or error.

I used to use Dreamweaver for upload, but some of my clients have oddball secure FTP which will not allow Dreamweaver to connect.
