I don't know if this is really the right section.. but I was just thinking about this and thought I would ask what the best solution would be. Let's just say that you sent a gecko to someone, and the gecko was DOA due to unfortunate circumstances. Most people have the policy that they will send another gecko of equal value to the customer at no extra cost. Now we are very small breeders compared to most, and intend to stay small, so here's the question.. what if this happened and we had no other geckos to replace the one that was already sent? Would you try to tell them that you could send them another gecko next season, or just give a refund? Now that I have typed this entire thing, the refund seems like the best answer.. I guess I answered my own question but would still like to hear from you guys..

I would think that a refund would be the best option unless the customer was willing to wait until next season

In those circumstances-If there you had a breeder pair that really knocked me out and I really wanted a baby from them-I would be willing to wait

:D
You could offer the refund first and the replacement next season second

just my .-02

I like the full refund policy the best. It puts all of the risk on the seller, until the customer actually receives the animal. It also entitles the seller the right to delay shipment until conditions are optimal.

Again, from a buyer's perspective, I guess a drawback of offering a full refund (if an equally valued leo isn't available) is it wouldn't necessarily encourage a return customer, whereas the credit for next season's leos would.;)
