ok guys thought i would tell you about a no-no thermometer.

this isnt excatly the same one but its very similar. problem is if you look at the tube it is stapled to the backround that contains the temp. well issue is the staples come loose and the tube slides back or forth giving it a wrong reading. in my case the tube was secure but had slid to a different position. so my hatchling tank this whole time i thought the temp was 105 degrees it was not even close. i thought my dimmer was broken but i investigated to discover that this is a very bad type of thermometer to use. hope it helps.
