What type of thermometer should I get to test the actual temp on the ground of the tank? Money is not really an issue. I have two of those sticky ones but. Would prefer a more accurate reading of specific areas. If someone could post a specific one that would be great. Thanks in advance!

Anything digital, or even a temp gun. If you want to spend around $30 you can get a thermostat that will adjust the heat to a specific temp all the time.

For keeping in the tank, a ZM digital thermometer is a good one. To test actual surface temps, look for the ZM brand infrared temp gun (we carry it for about $20), or pick up the ProExotics brand temp gun - normally about $25.
