I can't seem to find the answer to this anywhere online...
I'm all done setting up my DIY rack system (really its modular stacking bins) and Chakra, my little unnamed and unsexed Enigma het Tremper baby and my new pastel ball python are loving it!
I ended up using individual heat pads for each enclosure (I don't mind the expense compared to flexwatt because it isnt that much more, plus it gives individual control and its a system I know how to use).
So my question is now am I stuck using one thermostat for each UTH (the only prior experience I have is one of those cheap zilla theromstats---which only had one outlet per unit).
It doesn't make sense to me that manufacturers would rate this thermostats for like 1000 watts or more----yet the average UTH does not use a fraction of that.
Could I perhaps plug the heatpads into a power bar and then plug said power bar into the thermostat?
