Thermostat Questions

I am getting a rack unit in 2 weeks. I need to know what kind of Thermostat is Good and Bad. The total watts is 60-100w. I dont want to spend more then $150 on one. I have looked at alot and all to different things. I have one in mind but i want to know what you guys think of them and what not. Thank You For Your Information :main_thumbsup: :main_yes: (JoHn)

for racks, I have heard good things about Johnsons, rancos, helix and a few others I can't think of right now.

I just got a helix today for my incubator and it is WAY cool!

go for a helix dbs1000. im using it now and its rarely goes 1 degree off. it has something like a 500 watt limit.

I have a Johnson and a herpstat pro. Both of them work great.

I was thing more on this one helix dbs1000 or Herpstat 2 not pro to much But i think to save me money im going with Helix 1000 i think it will work great for me. Thank You guys for you in put i wasnt sure of those other ones. Because i have never heard of them. Thank You

Hey Jonathon, we run our racks on Johnson units here, and have never had a problem. They work great and good price too.

The Herpstats are cheaper than the Helix. At least I have not been seen a Helix for the same money as a Herpstat. You can't compare the Herpstat 2 to a helix price wise as the Herpstat 2 has 2 outputs. Its like having 2 helix's. The regular herpstat is only $108.
