Thermostat's

I was thinking of getting a thermostat to keep the right temperature in my geckos terrarium, but If I get a second gecko will I have to get 2 thermostats?

Also I was looking for one under 100 dollers that was really acurate and does not fail.

Please tell me what you use and if it is good or not.

helix is a good choice at about $125 plus shipping.

You can use 1 thermostat for more than one cage BUT only if the heating element is the exact smae size and wattage.

ohh thats a little expensive and I was going to use a smaller tank for the next gecko with a smaller uth.

I was just wondering this my self. I've been looking at a double ranco thermostat thinking I would need more than one for my three leos.

As long as I got the same type of flexwatt tape for each enclosure I would only need one thermostat?

yepp ony one thermostat i have 2 20 gallons for my leos and they both have the same size heat pad so they both have the same thermostat,, its the same for flexxwatt. Also you have to make sure you dont go over the maximum wattage of your thermostat with 3 strips of flexwatt i dont think it be a problem though

It's either flex watt or under tank heaters. I haven't decided yet.

yes as long as the flex watt is the same width, watts and length. You can;t do one at 4' and one at 3', they have to be the exact same size then you can use one thermostat up the total watts that thermostat will hodl, normally 1000 watts so that will hold 100 feet of 3" 10 watt felxwatt.
