Noticing there is never any lick marks in the morning in the baby food. Is there something i should do to entice them a little more into eating there baby food? Also I hear they love apricots, but only baby food I can find its mixed with apples and pears. Would this be OK for them?

Are these crested geckos? Try the crested gecko diet instead of baby food, its powdered and you just add water, it has all the nutrients they need and is better than baby food nutritionally because it was formulated for reptiles not humans.

If your talking about cresteds, they eat a little at a time so noticing any gone would be really hard. My gargoyles tend to eat a lot more and most of the cgd is gone by the time I remove it.

I don't own a crested but I've done extensive research on them and I second BGalloway. You need to get CGD (crested gecko diet). Baby food is full of sugar and formulated for human infants, not reptiles. CGD is balanced nutritionally for reptiles and will help your gecko live a long healthy life.

Yea babyfood is not a good idea, you need to feed them cgd I put a bit of mashed banana in sometimes for a treat. Or you can get the repashy 2 part food that comes in different fruit flavors. When you feed cgd you can leave it in for two days, some of my cresties seem to only eat the second day for some reason maybe they like it day old! I dont know but thats just what I do

I mix the rapashy CGD with blended up mango and some water and all of mine seem to really like it. I have some that eat quite a bit and others eat only a little at a time. I monitor weight to make sure that they are eating.

me and my grandpa have this argue ment all the time, he used to raise leachies and cresteds on baby food and crickets, and he swears by it, while i go the cgd way, but this year my geckos are laying healthier looking eggs than his, and i'll bet you they'll lay more cluthces
