is it different if i were to send dubias/mealworms/superworms?

USPS? UPS? FEDEX? State laws, i know that dubias can't be mailed to florida or canada.

Well it is illegal to ship roaches across state lines. Ive contacted USDA/APHIS and they will not issue any permits to ship/distribute any species. Of course many people ship them still.

As far as superworms and mealworms Fedex and UPS would be first choice by far. USPS express mail does good most of the time. Just know that USPS priority mail is a 2-3 day NON guaranteed service and could get there when ever (sometimes 5-7 days) Ive had mixed results in the past with priority mail. Some weeks I had no problems and other weeks I would have 75% of my boxes arrive 2-3 day LATE not good in summer months for sure.

Hope this helps :)
