If anyone has any info or links to good info that would be helpfull.

I Like the reef idea but can't afford a Gigantic tank. I got a spare 10 Gallon and thought af maybe settin up a nano reef. I found alot of info on largeer tanks but not on nano's. Mainly looking for what would go best with what coral/invertabrate wise.

It is pretty much the same as a big tank, just smaller size species. You need live rock and sand of course, any small type of goby would work well in that tank, along with most inverts. On most websites they will tell you minimum tank size for the animal.

There's a link to fish that would work in there, they also have inverts and corals so you can check that out as well.

I had a 10 gallon reef that my roommate at the time killed (well over $1000 invested into it)...and I learned most everything from Nano-Reef.

Remember that a nano is MUCH more sensitive than a larger tank....thus MUCH easier to have something go wrong in......but can still make for a very enjoyable tank :)

honestly i wouldnt waste your time... just save some cash and get a bigger tank... i know if your paitent you can find them all set up and complete for not that much... just people in a bind needing cash! ... i wouldnt do the small tank for the very reason stina stated... but thats JMO!

but heres some sites all about reefs...

Thanks. I found the nano-reef site right after i posted this.

I went to my local pet store to price everything looks like we can pull one off easier then we thought. Good thing i took my girlfriend with me, now she's more hooked on the idea then me. It'll be about 2-3 months before we get it though because we are in the middle of moving.

if you do go new... make sure you dont get overly excited and let your tank CYCLE!!! its a long process... but its for the best!!!

I just found a 12gallon nano cube with some rock, an anenome, and some dusters.
Plus two very cute clowns.
All for 150.
Such a deal.

Go check out Manhattan reefs.

I have had the 12g aquapod and I currently have the 24g aquapod. They are great tanks but if I had to do it over again (and I might just real soon) I would set up the 34g Current Solana. It's an all in one cube that looks and operates so sweet that in my experience it is almost perfect.

www.nano-reef.com is a good site as well but I am a mod on Manhattan reefs so I tend to lean towards that site ;)
