What is best thing to buy leopard gecko from breeder or pet store?
Will Leopard gecko live though life if bought from pet store..?
Do you have any epenirneces?
Do your Pet store bought leopard gecko survive or not?

I bought my leo from pet store.
I was confused but i think my leo have problems of not eating. again again. it's getting frustanted.
But i bought leo before it arrived in shipping in pet store. I just saw bunch of babies. and they were setting up. They were arrived july 14 and i bought one on jul 17 probabbly 3 days. They looked good and they was running. i bought leo because leo was fine when it went running and activity so i picked him he was grow fine until problems. Argh! My leopard is not eating he havent eaten for like 2 week and half or 1 week and half. He poops weird. but he isnt skinny. His belly is bloated. and his tail is not skinny. it looks fat as well. he was fine he do as he normally do.



I haven been researching online before i get my leo. i have evrythoing.

Sigh.. But i was about to put this in leopard gecko disscusion. well it look like probably rant. i guess.


Any help would be thankful.

It depends on what pet store. After working at one of the big chain stores and seeing how things are really ran "behind the scenes", I will not even buy dog food from them.

I buy almost all of my geckos from other breeders but we do have one family owned reptile store that takes great care of their animals and I will buy from them sometimes.
I have bought a few from the local store and they were very healthy.
The other store I worked at I pulled dead or sick Leos out almost every week.

I have seen more dead gecko posts from people who bought their gecko from a chain store than i would like. I think buying anything from a chain store is a bad idea.

Little independant stores should be considered on a case by case basis.

I think your gecko needs a trip to the local herp vet. It would seem he has some sort if internal infection.
