I've tentatively named her "Svetlana". The breeders says he believes she's a "she" since he doesn't see pores yet, and female gargs are more common than males.
I don't have her yet, but she should be here on Tuesday.
She's not fired in these shots.

She's tiny still, obviously, but I'll fatten her up when she gets here.:D
Somehow all my rhacs tend to eat VERY well for me and put on weight fast (fingers crossed).
Hopefully I can get her interested in insects, though the breeder said she won't eat them for him.
She'll be spoiled here, for sure.

This is her temporary enclosure. I'll keep her in it for about a month or so, or at least until I see that she's eating, adjusting, and pooping well.

It's not REALLY a KK, it's a Kricket Keeper that we don't use anymore because we don't buy big crickets anymore since we feed roaches.
So, I've decided to use the Kricket Keeper dishes for now. I figured they might be nice since they have ramps on them, and she can just walk up and get her food and water.

I only have a piece of cork bark and a vine of leaves in her KK for now. That should suffice, I would think.
But I have ZILCH experience with gargoyle geckos, so we'll see how it goes.
I'm excited!
She'll be arriving with three new cresties I'm getting from the same breeder.

I'll ask the breeder if I can post up pics of her mom and dad because they're awesome looking.

I'm glad you're getting her! I didn't know you were getting three crested geckos along with her though! Very cool! I'm getting another one now, too, in addition to the two I already told you about. Do you have pics of the crested geckos or do you know the morphs? I'm excited for you!:D

Thanks!!!
The cresteds I'm getting come from a red dad and a red flame mom.
here's a link to the breeder's site, to his breeder's page.
Dad is Mr. Red and mom is Cherrie.

The three I'm getting, 2 were born in january and one was born in december.
One weighs 3 grams right now, and the other two both weigh 4 grams.
I'll fatten them up once they get here.:D
Breeder said he cannot guarantee WHAT they'll look like as adults, but usually the parents produce the same of themselves.
And I don't really care, anyway, because I have yet to see a crestie that is ugly. They're ALL adorable to me.

These are not MY pictures. These were taken by the breeder, Mike, from Dragontown Reptiles.

Thanks, ladies!!!
I cannot wait to get them!
I already have the KKs all set up for them, I just have to cut some bamboo, and I have to make space for them all in my room.:D

I know I'll most likely enjoy my cresties.
I've never owned a gargoyle gecko before.
What are their personalities like?

I know my chewie and crestie differ greatly.
My crestie is a bit more hyper and ADD-ish than my chewie.
My chewie is real laid back.

i have 2 females that are so mellow and hand able. all my males are pretty flighty as well as some females. and the juvies differ. i think its more personality and how much interaction it has had than anything. when being observed mine seem pretty mellow but become quite active during the dusk to dawn hours. everyone opinions are different. and if/when you ever get bit, they have some nice little sharp teeth ;) ive only been bit once, but i think she thought my finger was a cricket that she was chasing as i attempted top touch her.

The more time you spend with them will calm most Rhac's down. Some take more work and time than others but most Rhac's can calm down. Congrats on your new purchases!

Thanks!

I know that the younger they are, the flightier they tend to be, but we handle Crackity Jones well when he first came here, and now most of the time he's calm when we hold him.
I mean, he's calm until his crestie ADD kicks in and he gets distracted by something.:main_laugh:
